Veronica D. Barnes, 87, of Knightstown, passed away in Greenfield on December 2, 2012. She was born on November 15, 1925 in Springfield, MA to the late Dennis and Hazel (Donnellan) Driscoll. Veronica married George Wright on October 19, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1979. She married Henry Barnes on September 24, 1987 and he preceded her in death August 21, 2003. Veronica lived most of her life in Knightstown. She was a member of the Saint Rose Catholic Church in Knightstown. Veronica loved to play Bingo. She also was the past president of the Knightstown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Juanda and Phil Rose of Knightstown, Carl and Bill Charles of Spiceland and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and both husbands, Veronica was also preceded in death by a brother Cornelius Driscoll.

Graveside Rosary service for Veronica will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, IN. Deacon Russell Woodard will preside. Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown entrusted with care.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Rose Catholic Church in Knightstown.
