Obituary for Walter Everett Zimmerman
Walter Everett Zimmerman, 77, of Knightstown, died on the evening of Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1941 in Spiceland, Indiana, the son of the late Albert and Pauline (Culbertson) Zimmerman.
Walt was a 1960 graduate of Knightstown High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in construction for Simon Properties for many years.
Those left to cherish Walt’s memory include his companion of 19 years, Janet Kay Smith of Knightstown and his friend and caretaker, Oren Jarvis of Dunreith.
Walt was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Jean Lockridge.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Glen Cove Cemetery with Military Honors provided by contingents from the US Army and the American Legion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown.
