Obituary for Virginia G. Dickerson (Gosser)
Virginia G. Dickerson, 79, of Shirley passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Heritage House in New Castle.
She was born on December 22, 1943 in Russell County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ollis and Cloda (Adkins) Gosser.
Virginia met her High School sweetheart, Tom Dickerson, and they were married in 1961 and had 61 wonderful years together. She enjoyed coaching softball, sewing and spending time outdoors. Virginia had a love for flowers and nurtured beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed journaling, writing and serving as a bus aide for special needs children.
Those left to cherish her family include her loving husband, Tom Dickerson; children, Mark (wife: Stacey) Dickerson, Richey (wife: Shelly) Dickerson and a son-in-law, Kevin Garner; grandchildren, Bryan, Heather, Devin, Kira, Parker, Cordell, Carter and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Emmett, Alanna, Kenzie and Mavrick; sisters, Kay Dunigan, Gayla McCraw and a sister-in-law, Ruthie Gosser; extended family members, Henry Kessinger, Julie Griffith and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Garner; brothers Raleigh Gosser, James Gosser and infant brother, Max Gosser; brothers-in-law, Larry Dunigan and Joe McCraw

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown with Pastor Tony Darling officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
