Obituary for Terry Lee Ross Sr.
Terry Lee Ross Sr., 60, of Carthage, passed away early Sunday morning, July 17, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born October 8, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Delbert Oscar and Pernia Mae (Stephens) Ross.
Terry attended Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. He was a mason and did construction work with his father-in-law. Terry lived for fishing and hunting. He went nowhere without his fishing poles and tackle close by. He was well liked by everyone and never met a stranger. Terry will be remembered as a kind and loving man who loved his children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Terry’s memory include his three children, Carrie Ann Ross and Brandie Michelle Ross both of Carthage, and Terry Lee Ross Jr., of Indianapolis, and Amie Tyra, who was like a daughter to him; grandchildren, Angel, Abigail, Adriyanna, Jaelynn, Terry Landon III, Skyler, Jase, and Henliegh Ross, Wyatt Lackey, Laya and Heavenly Palmer; brothers, Gary (Linda) Ross of Rushville, Larry Ross of Carthage, and Steven (Denise) Ross of Indianapolis; sister, Phyllis Sanders of Greenwood, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents and a brother-in-law, Kevin Sanders, and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 25, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown with Rev. Tommy Frost officiating. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
