Obituary for Terry Lee Adams
Terry Lee Adams, 82, of Greenfield, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 2, 1939 in Indianapolis, a son of the late Robert and Constance Adams.
Terry attended Warren Central High School and graduated in 1958. He worked for General Motors as a supervisor and retired after 27 years. After retiring he worked a concession stand at fairs and events for several years. Terry led a ministry and visited people in nursing homes singing and leading Bible Study. He was a faithful member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Fortville, Indiana. Terry enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, playing games and spending time with his grandchildren and special pet beaver, Benny. He also enjoyed horses, barrel racing and visiting Montana. Following a life changing accident in 2007, a Bible verse became very special to him, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Most of all Terry wanted to be a billboard for Jesus.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lynn (Deck) Adams; children, Michael “Tony” Fenley, Grant (wife: Darlene) Adams, Robert (wife: Patty) Adams, James Adams, Arlyne (husband: Thomas) Layton, Michael (wife: Esteina) Adams and Amanda Adams; 14 grandchildren, Kelly, Eric, Warren, Sarah, Rachal, Chase, Wyatt, Jonathan, Rylee, Seth, Levi, Lydia, Garrett and Logan; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeannine Linder and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Reynolds and first wife, Carol (Heckart) Adams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Riley Children’s Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at New Life Christian Fellowship, 1574 W IN-234, Fortville, IN 46040 with Pastor Mark Adcock officiating.
Friends may call from 5 - 7 pm prior to the service at the church.
