Obituary for Merle Dennis "Denny" McGee
Merle Dennis “Denny” McGee, 68, of Spiceland passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Henry Community Health in New Castle.
He was born on July 6, 1953 in Wood River, Illinois.
Denny attended and graduated from Wood River High School. Denny loved baseball and was a left-handed pitcher and played all through high school striking out many batters with his curve ball. He worked in sales for most of his career at various RV Dealerships in Eastern Indiana. Denny was an avid sports fan and made sure he had all the games recorded so he did not miss anything. He was especially a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts. Denny had a big heart and loved helping people and providing laughter.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda McGee; children, Brian McGee, Aaron McGee and Megan McGee; step-children, Brandon Miller and Lacey Locker; grandchildren, Colin, Dakota, Matthew, Kaliyah, Aiden, Lindsay, Makenzie, Katelyn, Nathan, Darrell, Korryn, Christian, Kian, Lauren, Kamiyah, Ivy, Claire, Wyatt, Gemini, Genisis; two sisters, Debby (husband: Dave) Zukosky and Becky (husband: Steve) Floerke; sister-in-law, Jane McGee and several nieces and nephews.
Denny was preceded in death by a brother, Dave McGee.
Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 7, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown with Dennis Wagers officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
