Obituary for Marla Janeen Payne

Marla Janeen Payne, 83, of Charlottesville, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Hancock Regional Health in Greenfield.

She was born on December 25, 1935 in Spencer, Indiana, a daughter of the late Orville and Frances (Ray) Reynolds.

Marla attended Decatur Central High School and graduated in 1953. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Greenfield and a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed fishing in Canada, her flower gardens, bird watching, baking, reading and having good discussion with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Rebecca (husband: Anthony) Hancock, Nancy (husband: Robert) White, Daniel (wife: Tamme) Jenkins, Thomas (wife: Debbie) Jenkins, Tracy Fields and Jennifer (husband: Pete) Gambrel; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter (wife: Ruth) Reynolds and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Jenkins; second husband, William Payne and a great-grandson, Kaiden Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown Academy.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1 - 5 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Lions Club Community Building E. 25 N., Charlottesville, IN.
