Obituary for Madonna Sue Wentworth (Haygood)

Madonna Sue (Haygood) Wentworth, 69, of Fortville, formerly of Spencer, passed away Tuesday evening, November 13, 2019 at her sister’s home in Knightstown where she had been lovingly cared for during her courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 25, 1950 at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Indiana, a daughter of the Noah and Billie Joan (Brown) Haygood. Following her mother’s early death, she was raised by her dear step-mother, Thelma Haygood.

Madonna attended Knightstown schools and later lived in the Fortville area. She loved to shop, loved her Pomeranians, and was especially close to Trixie. Madonna loved to listen to the oldies on the radio like Buddy Holly and others. In 2004, she married Paul Wentworth.

Those left to cherish Madonna’s memory include her husband, Paul Wentworth; sister, Nola (Bill) Martin of Anderson; a brother, Noah “Duke” (Donna) Haygood; sister, Kathy (Ron) Dice of Knightstown; her aunt, Linda Garner, of Fortville and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be held at a later time in Fortville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown.

Memorial contributions may be offered to the Henry County Humane Society, 11 Midway Dr., New Castle, IN 47362. You may send the family a personal condolence at www.heritagefuneralcares.com.

The Hunt family and staff are honored to serve the family of Madonna Sue Wentworth.
