Obituary for Jessie Loretta Barry Wilson (Munden)
Jessie Loretta Barry Wilson, 98, of Carthage, IN, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, April 4, 2024.
She was born on December 24, 1925 in Carthage, a daughter of the late Loren and Ruth (White) Munden.
Jessie was a member of the East Street Christian Church in Carthage. She worked for Louisville Manufacturing Company in Salem, IN for many years. Jessie was also a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority as well as the Home Economics Club of Carthage. Jessie enjoyed going to Hymn Sings, listening to Bluegrass music and watching the birds from her window.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Darlene (husband: Mike) Alter, Nancy (husband: Joe) Kline, Mark (wife: Pam) Barry and Keith (wife: Karen) Barry; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; step-children, Vonda (husband: Larry) Lucas, Steve Wilson, Keith Wilson, Sharon Polley, Margie (husband: Bob) Sturgeon and Kevin Wilson; ten step-grandchildren; a brother, John Munden and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gale M. Barry; second husband, Millard Jay Wilson and a son, Earle Barry.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown with Pastor Bob Guillaume officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
