So blessed to call him my brother and friend

Jim was always so kind and so funny, such a huge heart. The kind of person whose energy just made you feel happy whether you were standing next to him, talking on the phone or even texting. Time between visits or phone calls never seemed to be an issue, we would always pick up right where we left off and he always made me feel like family. I had the privilege of being able to chat quite a bit with Jim over the past few months. No matter what was happening in my day or whatever stress I was under, it would instantly brighten my day when I saw a text from him. I would laugh out loud because of his great sense of humor. I could tell he really didnt want to talk about his illness too much so we would talk a lot about his kids and the family and he always wanted to know what was going on with me. Several weeks ago he called me to share something near and dear to his heart, something that our dad had shared with him. He shared his deep love and commitment for the Lord and I promised him that I would work on making that relationship a priority in my own life. It meant so much to me that he shared that with me. Thank you Jim for being such a wonderful person and brother. I WILL see you again!
