James “Jim” Dale Davis, 57, of Knightstown, passed away on the afternoon of Friday, December 6, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
He was born on December 12, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late Genevee Jane (Maxwell) Davis and William Howard Davis, Sr.
Jim was the 12th child, born on the 12th day of the 12th month. He was quick witted and always making jokes. He was an excellent pool player and after a win would always blow the chalk off the tip of the pool stick with pride. He enjoyed watching TV, especially WWE wrestling and Survivor on Wednesday nights. He also enjoyed fishing, but only in shallow water since he could not swim. Jim could craft about anything and completed many projects for Lisa around their home. Jim and Lisa were married on April 18, 1988 and in total, enjoyed 37 wonderful years together. Jim was a hard worker and was a 20 year employee of the Hancock County Highway Department where he was known to his friends as "Hollywood". Jim recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and gave his family the assurance of seeing him again in Heaven.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted loving wife, Lisa Nichelle Davis; loving children, Christopher Davis and Kaylea Davis; grandchildren, Savanna, Lucas and Jacob; siblings, Shelby Clowers (companion: Tommy), Edward “Eddie” (wife: Patty) Davis, Nancy (husband: Roger) Hamilton, William (wife: Bonnie) Davis Jr., Cindy Benefiel, Lora (husband: Larry) Lewman, and Jennifer (husband: Rick) Thompson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jane (husband: Kevin) Miller, Andy Keck (companion: Teresa), Ryan Keck, Clayton (wife: Danielle) Keck, Anthony ( companion: Casey) Keck, Ronnie ( companion: Courtney) Keck, Veronica (husband: David) Dailey and James Keck; along with many nieces, nephews, and he was a friend to everyone who crossed his path
