Obituary for Guy David Washburn
Guy David Washburn, 27, of Carthage passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 due to injuries from a motorcycle accident in Indianapolis.
He was born on March 19, 1994 in Greenfield, a son of Hollie and Danita (Chatmon) Washburn.
Guy attended Knightstown High School and graduated in 2013. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, riding motorcycle and being with his buddies. Guy also loved spending time with his family, especially his fiancé and children.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving fiancé, Ruby Chew and their three children, Jaxton, Hollie and Arthur; parents, Hollie and Danita Washburn; sisters, Kaitlynn Washburn and Tabatha (husband: Jamie) Messer; maternal grandmother, Shirley Chatmon; uncles, David (wife: Naomi) Chatmon and Guy Washburn; aunt, Beverly (husband: Mack) Burch and several extended family members.
Guy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hollie and Margaret Washburn Sr. and maternal grandfather, David Chatmon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guy’s memorial fund in the care of Ruby Chew at First Merchants Bank.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1 – 4 pm, Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. A time of sharing will begin at 3:00 pm.
