Obituary for Gerald Vanhart Smith Jr.
Gerald Vanhart Smith Jr., 75, of Knightstown passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born on November 8, 1945 in Indianapolis, a son of the late Gerald Vanhart Sr. and Elma Smith.
Gerald loved the United States of America and served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Philip Smith and Kevin Smith; siblings, Stanley (Anna) Smith, Gladis Harding, June Smith, Lloyd (Paula) Smith and Leatha Leming; sister-in-law, Cinda Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Rennells Smith; a brother, Michael Smith and brother-in-law, Ronald Keck Sr.
