Dewey N. Richmond, 72, of Knightstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St. Vincent Heart Hospital.

He was born on March 16, 1944 in Old Trace, KY, son of the late Delbert and Josie Richmond.

Dewey enjoyed attending Faith Chapel Baptist Church with his wife, fishing, working on lawnmowers and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dewey retired from the City of Knightstown after 26 years of service as the Street Department Foreman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Zelma Richmond; children, Dollie Richmond of Knightstown, Shannon Richmond (girlfriend: Tina Fields) of Knightstown, Doyle Richmond (girlfriend: Rosie Kendrick) of Carthage and William Richmond of Knightstown; grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Cody N. Richmond, Cody T. Richmond; one great-grandchild, Josie Taylor; brother, Hobert Richmond and sister, Sally Butler.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Herbert, Walter, Fred, Bobby and Carllee Richmond; sisters, Dorothy Spence and Maggie Butler.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Care. A graveside service will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery with Pastor Markus Dennis officiating.
