Obituary for Darlene Foley

Darlene  Foley
Darlene Foley, 90, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday February 2, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born May 24, 1925 in Jabez, Kentucky, a daughter of L.M. and Theola (Johnson) Dunbar. On February 22, 1947, she married her husband, the late Michael Foley.
Mrs. Foley was a graduate of Russell Springs, Kentucky High School and graduated from the Lindsay Wilson Jr. College in Columbia, Kentucky. She worked at RCA, as a homebound teacher and at Robin Lee Dress Shop.
She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Jolly Workers Homemaker’s Club and a member of Jabez Baptist Church in Jabez, Kentucky.
Darlene will be greatly missed by her daughter Sharon Ann (husband George) McCollom of New Albany, Indiana, a sister Rena Ellen Winchester, a brother Jetha (Dolly) Dunbar both of Nancy, Kentucky, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and good friends.
In addition to her parents L.M. and Theola (Johnson) Dunbar, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Michael Foley, son Robert Joe Foley, 2 brothers Leland and Shillard Dunbar.
Services for Mrs. Foley will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Friends may visit on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM, with Psi Iota Xi Services held at 8PM following calling at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Rev. Mark Tabb presiding. Memorial contributions may be made in Darlene's memory to Alzheimer’s Association or Cancer Association.
