Obituary for Betty Jo Hamm
Betty Jo Hamm, 83, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.
She was born on February 13, 1937 in Knightstown, a daughter of Rodney and Josephine (Cox) Hamm.
Betty grew up in Knightstown before moving to Anderson. She worked for many years at Decker’s Sporting Goods in Anderson before their closing. She retired from Kings Systems in Noblesville where they manufactured medical devices for hospitals. Betty enjoyed painting, working puzzles, playing Bingo, cooking and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her five children, Vicki (husband: Tim) Ball of Anderson, David (wife: Teresa) Gossett of Anderson, Mike (wife: Lori) Gossett of Anderson, Kurt (wife: Nicole) Gossett of Chebanse, IL, Tina (husband: Parry) Sands of Lapel; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three siblings, Sue Smith, Sara Saxon and John Hamm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by four siblings, Don Hamm, Bud Hamm, Tom Hamm and Ruth Ballenger.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown with Pastor Gary Marcum officiation.
Friends may call from 4 – 7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
