Obituary for David Franklin Leisure

David Franklin Leisure, 71, passed away January 14, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was the son of Howard F. and Helen M. (Jackson) Leisure of Carthage. He was preceded in death by a son, Daryl F. Leisure and two sisters, Wanda Messer and Anita Logan. Left to cherish his memory and life is Judith E. Griffin, whom he married October 8, 1961; 2 daughters Debbie (Paul) Butler and Cathy Shelton (Roy Pribble), both of Shirley; 3 grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Overman, Timothy (Marlene) Wyatt, and Brittany (Travis) Thibeault; 5 great-grandchildren A.J. Thibeault, Carson and Bryce Overman, Tanner and Cooper Wyatt; brother Dudley (Jenell) Leisure; sister Judy (Larry) Nelson and several nieces and nephews.
David loved tractor pulling and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle. He retired from Delco Remy after 30 years.
Services for David will be held Monday, January 20 at 1 pm; calling is Sunday, January 19 from 2-8 pm at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Rushville with Pastor Bill Palmer presiding.
